UTSxIKEA: designing for privacy
Looking into the context of privacy in a world becoming ever more open, with an exponential growth of information shared daily through the internet and social medias.
Partnered with interior architect Shirley Li, we explored the possibilities of making military submarines, a space extremely confined and stressful, into more calming and private spaces for crew and marines to relax and enjoy a space to themselves.
Using laser cut plywood and recycles materials we were able to create and small-scaled model of our final concept for the submarines berthing areas (technical term for beds)
